California Mayor Eileen Wang charged with acting as illegal agent of China, quits post

The mayor of the California city of Arcadia, Eileen Wang, has been charged in federal court with acting as an illegal agent of China,  the US Department of Justice said. Wang has resigned as Arcadia mayor and is expected to plead guilty in the federal court in Los Angeles in the coming weeks.
