US grants visa to family of Indian student Neelam Shinde, who is in coma

Indian student Neelam Shinde has been left with severe injuries and is in a coma after being struck by a speeding vehicle in the US on February 14. The incident was revealed on February 16, when the family was told about the accident. Neelam's maternal uncle Sanjay Kadam was relieved after obtaining a visa to go to the US. Speaking to the media, he acknowledged the efforts of the Central and Maharashtra governments in expediting the process.
