Canadian Police demanded USD 70,000 to provide protection to Hindu groups: Report

Amid a row over the Canadian Police's allegedly failure to provide proper security to the consular camps run by the Indian Embassy, multiple media reports claimed the security agency demanded $70,000 in exchange for a safety fee from the Hindu group. According to the report, Hindu organisations in Canada are aggrieved by the police for seeking in exchange for security and charged the government with abusing their civil rights. The media report claimed the Khalistani group has been pressurising the Canadian Police to cancel the consular camps run by the Indian Embassy.
